New Quay stayed in the hunt with a hard worked, narrow win over Dewi Stars. Craig Richardson and Mathew Mousley were on target for the homesters with Dewi Sion Evans replying for the visitors.
Third placed Aberaeron dropped two valuable points against Lampeter which means that their away game against St Dogmaels on Saturday is a must win affair.
Maesglas hit Ffostrasol for six. There was a hat-trick for Phil Furney and a goal apiece for Llifon Howell, Dominic Williams and Dean Winney.
In the other two fixtures played there were comfortable wins for both Crannog and Cardigan against Aberporth and Llanybydder respectively.
